Australian Government Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students 2018

There are lots of scholarships available for international students wishing to study in Australia, those can provide help with funds for your study. There is strong competition for scholarships, so you should not rest all of your hopes on obtaining funding, but they are definitely worth investigating. The Australian Government and Australian Universities provide a large number of scholarships for international students wanting to study in Australia. We summarize the list of fully-funded Government and Universities. 1. AUSTRALIA AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS 

Brief description:

Australia Awards Scholarships, formerly known as Australian Development Scholarships (ADS), provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutions.

Host Institution(s):

Any of the Participating Australian Institutions

Level/Field(s) of study:

Undergraduate or Postgraduate Programmes that are related to your country’s priority areas for development which are listed on the participating country profiles.

Number of Awards:

Up to 10,000

Target group:

Citizens of one of the participating countries in Asia, Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

Scholarship value/inclusions/duration:

The scholarship benefits generally include: full tuition fees, return air travel, establishment allowance, contribution to living expenses (CLE), Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), Introductory Academic Program (IAP), Pre-course English (PCE) fees, etc. See the complete list of benefits at the official website.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to receive a Scholarship, applicants must:

a. be a minimum of 18 years of age at the time of commencing the Scholarship

b.  not be a citizen of Australia, hold permanent residency in Australia or be applying for a visa to live in Australia permanently

c. not be applying for another long‐term Australia Award unless they have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of the total time that they were in Australia

d. have satisfied any specific criteria established by the Program Area or the government of the applicant’s country of citizenship (e.g. having worked a certain number of years in an appropriate sector)

e. be able to satisfy the admission requirements of the institution at which the award is to be undertaken

2. Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarships Award

Brief description:

The Endeavour Executive Fellowship provides financial support towards professional development opportunities (1-4 months) for high achievers in business, industry, education or government for non-Australians and Australians.

The Endeavour Executive Fellowship focuses on learning and building skills and knowledge through a host work environment in the applicant’s field or area of expertise rather than through formal enrolment in a study programme and are not suitable for academic research proposals. Professional development activities could include management training, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, short courses and developing leadership skills.

Up to 10,000

Target group:

Citizens of one of the participating countries in Asia, Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The fellowship value is up to $AUD 18,500. The fellowship includes travel allowance ($AUD 3,000), establishment allowance ($AUD 2,000), monthly stipend ($AUD 3,000; up to the maximum category duration on a pro-rata basis).  Health and travel insurance will also be provided.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to receive an Endeavour Executive Fellowship, applicants must:

•  be aged 18 years or over at the commencement of their programme

•  be a citizen and/or permanent resident of a participating country (see above)

•  commence their proposed programme after 1 January 2018 and no later than 30 November 2018. Applicants who have already commenced or will commence their intended programme prior to 2017 are not eligible to apply

•  provide all relevant supporting documentation

• not currently hold or have completed, since 1 January 2016, an Australian Government sponsored scholarship and/or fellowship (directly administered to recipients by the Australian Government)

•  not apply for a category in which they have already completed an Endeavour Scholarship or Fellowship.

.  must have satisfied any specific criteria established by the Program Area or the government of the applicant’s country of citizenship (e.g. having worked a certain number of years in an appropriate sector)

be able to satisfy the admission requirements of the institution at which the award is to be undertaken

be able to satisfy all requirements of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection to hold a Student Visa.
